"계약협상·위기대응 셀럽 생애관리…韓최초 토털 에이전시 도입"
[이데일리 백주아 기자] 검사, 엔터테인먼트 전문 변호사 출신 이자 CJ ENM(035760)·CJ(001040) 지주사 대표를 역임한 강호성 KHS 에이전시 대표가 미국 할리우드식 ‘토털 탤런트 에이전시(Total Talent Agency)’ 모델을 한국 최초로 도입했다. 단순한 프로젝트 연결을 넘어 계약 협상부터 위기 대응 등 셀럽의 전방위적 니즈를 담당하는 새로운 에이전시 시스템으로 전 세계적으로 부는 K콘텐츠 열풍과 함께 급부상 중인 셀럽들의 글로벌 진출을 체계적으로 뒷받침하겠다는 구상이다. 방탄소년단(BTS)부터 ‘기생충’, ‘오징어 게임’까지 K콘텐츠가 세계를 사로잡으면서 한국 셀럽들의 위상이 달라진 현재 셀럽을 전문적으로 관리할 수 있는 인프라 구축을 통해 한국 엔터테인먼트 산업의 ‘퀀텀점프’를 노리는 것이다.강호성 KHS 에이전시 대표(전 CJ ENM 대표·CJ 지주 경영전담 대표). (사진=김태형 기자)8일 서울 강남구 청담동에 위치한 KHS 에이전시 본사에서 만난 강 대표는 이데일리와의 인터뷰에서 “셀럽은 하나의 플랫폼이자 콘텐츠 그 자체”라며 “토털 탤런트 에이전시를 통해 셀럽에게 최적화한 서비스를 제공할 것”이라고 말했다. 강 대표가 최초로 도입한 토털 탤런트 에이전시는 전통적 에이전시·연예 매니지먼트사와 차별화한 모델이다. 기존 에이전시의 역할은 네트워크를 활용해 셀럽에게 프로젝트 중개·알선에 그치지만 토털 탤런트 에이전시는 계약 협상, 이미지 관리, 리스크 관리, 글로벌 네트워크 연결 등 셀럽의 전반적 니즈에 포괄적 솔루션을 제시한다. 매니지먼트사의 핵심 역량이 신인 발굴과 육성을 통한 부가가치 창출이라면 토털 탤런트 에이전시는 이미 자기 분야에서 확고한 입지를 구축한 스타급 셀럽을 전문적으로 관리한다. 강 대표는 “각각의 역량이 다른 만큼 미국 셀럽의 경우 토털 탤런트 에이전시와 매니지먼트사와 함께 계약하는 경우가 흔하다”며 “매니지먼트사와 토털 탤런트 에이전시 양자의 중심 역량이 다른 만큼 서로 협업해 보완하고 함께 성장할 영역이 많다”고 설명했다. 토털 탤런트 에이전시가 관리할 수 있는 대상은 가수, 연예인, 배우뿐만 아니라 스포츠스타, 작가, 인플루언서와 같이 문화, 예술, 체육, 방송 등 대중문화에 있어 대중의 관심과 인지도를 바탕으로 사회에 영향력을 미칠 수 있는 재능을 가진 사람을 모두 포괄한다. 미국은 지난 1898년 설립된 윌리엄모리스에이전시(WMA) 이후 100년 이상의 역사를 갖고 있다. 현재 미국 3대 토털 탤런트 에이전시로는 CAA, WME, UTA가 꼽히는데, 최근 이들의 고객에는 조 바이든, 카밀라 해리스, 버락 오바마 부부 등 정치인들도 포함된다. 강 대표는 “미국도 초기엔 네트워크 연결 중심이었지만 점차 이미지관리 비중이 커졌는데 특히 2000년대 디지털 플랫폼 등장이 결정적 전환점을 맞이했다”며 “셀럽들이 직접 대중과 소통하며 팬덤이 조직화·대형화됐고 셀럽의 산업 내 위상이 크게 오른 반면 모든 사생활이 공개되면서 순식간에 이미지 저하를 가져올 수 있는 평판리스크가 급증했고 이를 해결하는 리스크매니지먼트 역량이 에이전시의 가장 핵심 역량이 됐다”고 설명했다. 강 대표에게 토털 탤런트 에이전시 사업은 지난 30여년간 엔터테인먼트 산업에 깊숙이 관여하면서 품어온 꿈이자 목표였다. 검사 퇴직 후 2000년경 한국 최초 엔터테인먼트 전문 로펌을 차린 그는 변호사로 일하며 셀럽의 니즈와 매니지먼트사의 역량이 맞지 않는 부분을 절감했다. 이후 CJ그룹에 합류 후 CJ E&M 등 주요 요직을 거쳐 리스크 매니지먼트 총괄 경험을 쌓았던 그는 CJ 지주사 대표를 마칠 무렵 가장 좋아하던 배우가 극단적 선택을 하는 것을 보며 사업을 결심을 하게 된다. 그는 “리스크 발생 시 가장 중요한 것은 체계적이고 일관성 있고 전문적인 대응인데 경험이 없는 셀럽 본인이나 매니저가 초기 대응을 해 골든타임을 놓치는 경우가 많고 외부 전문가를 영입해도 제3자로서 조언하다 보니 근본적 해결보다는 기능적 조력에 그친다”며 “평소 좋아하던 훌륭한 배우 사건이 비극으로 끝나는 것을 보며 ‘다시는 셀럽이 허망하게 사라지게 해서는 안되겠다’는 생각을 했고 오랜 기간 쌓은 엔터테인먼트 비지니스와 리스크매니지먼트 경험을 집약할 때라고 판단했다”고 설명했다. 토털 탤런트 에이전시는 리스크 발생 시 셀럽이 에이전시에 보고를 하고 에이전시가 직접 리스크 해결의 주체로 나서는 구조로 이뤄져있다. 리스크매니지먼트 전문가인 에이전시가 직접 전략방향을 설정하고 외부 전문가그룹을 한 방향으로 지휘하는 컨트롤타워 역할을 하면서 최선의 리스크 해결 결과가 도출되는 식이다. 강 대표는 대표적 성공 사례로 오타니 쇼헤이 사건을 들었다. 그는 “작년 메이저리그 개막 무렵 오타니의 통역사 거액 불법도박 문제가 불거졌을 때 오타니는 기자들에게 ‘에이전트가 처리할 것’이라고만 답했고 에이전시가 전문적으로 대응에 나서면서 아무런 문제 없이 사건이 해결됐다”며 “사건 초기 전문가를 투입해 골든타임을 확보하고 셀럽을 보호하는 것이 핵심”이라고 강조했다. 강호성 KHS 에이전시 대표(전 CJ ENM 대표·CJ 지주 경영전담 대표). 삼성전자, ‘원UI 8’ 보안 기능 공개...갤Z플립·폴드7 탑재 예정
[이데일리 윤정훈 기자]삼성전자(005930)가 9일(현지시간) 미국 뉴욕에서 발표하는 신규 폴더블 기기에 ‘원 UI 8(One UI 8)’ 정식 버전을 탑재한다고 8일 밝혔다. 이번 원UI 8은 더욱 강력한 보안 및 개인정보 보호 기능이 특징이다.(사진=삼성전자)삼성전자는 AI 사용이 확대됨에 따라 원UI 8에 기기 내 개인정보 보호를 강화하는 신규 보안 솔루션인 ‘킵(KEEP, Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection)’을 도입했다.번에 신규 도입한 킵은 개인화된 AI 기능을 보호하기 위해 새롭게 개발됐으며, 기기의 보안 스토리지 영역 내에서 앱별로 분리된 암호화 저장 공간을 생성한다.암호화된 정보의 개별 보호로 각 앱은 각자 자신의 민감한 정보에만 접근할 수 있으며, 다른 앱의 정보에는 접근할 수 없다. 이렇게 킵(KEEP)은 개인 데이터를 갤럭시 AI 외 다른 앱에서 접근할 수 없도록 제어해 퍼스널 데이터 엔진(PDE, Personal Data Engine)을 통해 학습된 사용자의 일상, 선호도와 같은 민감 정보를 보호한다.사용자의 개인정보는 기기 내에만 저장되며, 갤럭시 보안의 근간인 녹스 볼트(Knox Vault)를 활용한 킵(KEEP)의 보호를 받는다. 이를 통해 갤럭시 AI는 개인화 경험을 제공하면서도 데이터를 강력하게 보호할 수 있다.또, 다양한 연결 기기의 위협 탐지 및 보호 기능을 제공하는 녹스 매트릭스(Knox Matrix)도 더 강력해진다.원UI 8에서는 기기가 심각한 위험에 처한 경우, 자동으로 삼성 계정에서 로그아웃 돼 삼성 계정 기반 서비스로의 접근을 차단하고 위협이 확산되는 것을 방지한다.또, 사용자의 갤럭시 기기로 알림을 보내 사용자가 보안 관련 조치를 취할 수 있게 한다.원UI 8은 AI 연결 경험이 확대되는 시대에 갤럭시를 포함한 연결 기기를 보호하고 상황 모니터링이나 알림 등을 직관적으로 제공한다.이번 원UI 8에서는 ‘보안 Wi-Fi’에도 신규로 양자 내성 암호 기술을 도입해 공공 Wi-Fi 네트워크망 이용 시에도 보안 및 개인정보 보호가 강화됐다.갤럭시 기기와 서버 간의 보안을 강화해 공공 Wi-Fi와 같은 고위험 환경에서도 안심하고 데이터를 이용할 수 있다.이 기능은 △사용자가 별도의 조치를 취하지 않아도 공공장소에서 자동으로 활성화 돼 Wi-Fi 연결을 보호하는 ‘Wi-Fi 자동 보호(Auto Protect Wi-Fi)’ △트래픽 암호화 및 익명화를 통해 추적을 방지하는 ‘개인정보 보호 강화(EPP, Enhanced Privacy Protection)’ △사용 중 네트워크 보호 기록을 보여줘 사용자가 어떻게 개인정보가 보호되고 있는지를 확인할 수 있다. 삼성전자는 이번에 새롭게 도입한 기능 외에도 그동안 강력한 기기 보호와 개인정보 보호를 위해 지속적인 노력을 기울이고 있다.갤럭시 기기의 핵심 보안 체계인 녹스 볼트를 통해 비밀번호, PIN, 생체 인식과 같은 민감 정보를 한층 안전하게 보호할 뿐 아니라 △보안 위험 자동 차단(Auto Blocker) △도난당한 기기 보호(Theft Protection) 등 다양한 보안 기능도 갖췄다.원UI 8은 이번 폴더블 신제품부터 적용되고 순차적으로 확대될 예정이다.

스스로 문제 해결 파트너로…삼성SDS, AI 에이전트 사업 강화
[이데일리 김범준 기자] 삼성SDS(삼성에스디에스(018260))가 인공지능(AI) 에이전트 사업을 강화한다.26일 서울 송파구 삼성SDS 잠실캠퍼스에서 열린 미디어데이에서 이준희 대표이사 사장이 사업 전략을 발표하고 있다.(사진=김범준 기자)삼성SDS는 26일 서울 송파구 잠실캠퍼스에서 미디어데이를 열고 △생성형 AI 플랫폼 ‘패브릭스(FabriX)’ △생성형 AI 기반 협업 솔루션 ‘브리티 코파일럿(Brity Copilot)’ △업무자동화 솔루션 ‘브리티 오토메이션(Brity Automation)’ 등 AI 에이전트 서비스 출시를 알리고 사업 전략을 발표했다.이준희 대표이사 사장은 환영사를 통해 “패브릭스와 브리티 코파일럿, 그리고 브리티 오토메이션이 사용자를 돕는 조력자에서 한 단계 더 나아가 사람의 지시를 기다리지 않고 스스로 문제를 찾고 해결하는 ‘에이전틱(Agentic)’ 단계로 서비스를 끌어올렸다”고 밝혔다.그는 이어 “언어모델, 데이터, 기업용 시스템에 대한 복합적인 역량과 이해를 가진 삼성SDS가 기업용 AI 에이전트 서비스를 가장 잘 할 수 있는 기업”이라며 “기업뿐만 아니라 공공과 금융 영역에서도 삼성SDS는 생성형 AI 서비스를 누구보다도 빠르게 시장을 개척하며 업계를 리드하고 있다”고 언급했다.◇AI 에이전트 플랫폼으로 진화한 ‘패브릭스’삼성SDS 패브릭스는 클라우드 기반의 AI 에이전트 플랫폼으로 진화하고 있다. 기존 패브릭스가 사용자의 요구에 맞춰 필요한 결과물을 생성했다면, 에이전트가 탑재된 패브릭스는 사용자의 개입 없이 스스로 의사결정을 내리고 문제까지 해결하는 기능을 갖췄다.삼성SDS는 또한 패브릭스를 활용하면 여러 사람이 나누어 수행해야 하는 업무를 에이전트 간 협업을 통해 효율적으로 해결할 수 있다고 설명했다. 패브릭스를 통해 고객사의 오랜 고민인 시스템 현대화(Modernization)를 손쉽게 해결할 수 있다고 강조하며, 대표적인 사례로 금융사들이 이용할 수 있는 ‘코드 전환 에이전트’ 기능을 소개했다.삼성SDS가 금융 고객사에 코드 전환 에이전트를 적용해본 결과, 98.8%의 코드전환율을 보였으며 매뉴얼 전환 대비 약 68%의 개발비용을 절감하는 효과를 거뒀다. 기업뿐만 아니라 주요 공공 인공지능 전환(AX) 사업에도 패브릭스를 적용하고 있으며, 오는 9월에는 공공 전용 패브릭스를 민관협력형 클라우드(Public Private Partnership)에서 제공할 계획이다.이호준 삼성SDS 클라우드서비스사업부장(부사장)은 “패브릭스는 현재 공공, 금융, 제조 등 다양한 업종의 70여개 고객사, 13만여명 이상이 사용하고 있는 국내 최대 규모의 기업용 생성형 AI 서비스 플랫폼”이라며 “향후 AI 에이전트의 활용 영역과 생태계 확장에 더욱 힘쓸 것”이라고 강조했다.◇코파일럿서 에이전트로 진화한 ‘브리티 코파일럿·오토메이션’삼성SDS는 협업 솔루션 브리티 코파일럿과 업무 자동화 솔루션 브리티 오토메이션도 AI 에이전트 기능으로 무장하며 기업의 업무 효율을 극대화한다. 메일, 메신저, 영상회의, 문서관리 등 기업의 공통 업무에 생성형 AI를 접목한 브리티 코파일럿에 ‘퍼스널 에이전트(Personal Agent)’ 기능을 9월 출시한다.퍼스널 에이전트는 개인 업무를 지원하는 맞춤형 AI 업무 비서로, 사용자가 설정한 업무 목표를 기초로 스스로 판단하여 업무를 수행한다. 삼성SDS는 퍼스널 에이전트를 위한 5가지 하위 에이전트를 통해 개인 맞춤형으로 업무를 지원한다.지난 4월 출시한 ‘인터프리팅 에이전트(Interpreting Agent)’는 글로벌 회의 등에서 한국어와 영어 실시간 통역 서비스를 제공한다. 인터프리팅 에이전트는 지원 언어도 올 7월 7개 언어(베트남·스페인·중국·일본 등), 11월 17개 언어(프랑스·이탈리아·포르투갈 등)로 지속 확대할 계획이다.이와 함께 삼성SDS는 △업무 데이터를 확인해 주요 할 일을 알려주는 ‘브리핑 에이전트(Briefing Agent)’ △업무 상황에 필요한 지식·참고 자료를 추천하는 ‘큐레이팅 에이전트(Curating Agent)’ △이동 중에도 음성으로 업무 처리를 지원하는 ‘보이스 에이전트(Voice Agent)’ △나에게 온 업무 문의에 자동으로 답변하는 ‘앤서링 에이전트(Answering Agent)’ 등 순차적으로 서비스를 확장해 나갈 계획이다.삼성SDS는 기존 브리티 오토메이션 봇(Bot)에서 한발 더 나아가 에이전틱 봇(Agentic Bot)으로 발전시켜, 단순 반복 업무와 같은 정형화된 업무뿐만 아니라 데이터나 UI가 변화하는 업무 시나리오도 자동화할 수 있는 기술을 올 10월 선보인다.에이전틱 봇 기능이 탑재된 브리티 오토메이션은 자연어 지시만으로도 자동화 설계를 진행하고, 실행 과정에서의 변경이나 오류도 스스로 해결한다. 삼성SDS는 에이전틱 봇 기능을 활용하면 오피스 업무의 약 70%를 자동화할 수 있다고 전망했다. 단순 로봇 프로세스 자동화(RPA) 도입 대비 2배 이상의 업무를 자동화할 수 있다는 의미다.송해구 삼성SDS 솔루션사업부장(부사장)은 “브리티 코파일럿과 브리티 오토메이션에 AI 에이전트 기능을 추가함으로써 기업의 업무 자동화는 한 단계 더 발전할 것”이라며 “올해 안에 실제 업무에 바로 적용할 수 있는 구체적이고 효과적인 AI 에이전트를 경험할 수 있도록 제공하겠다”고 말했다.

[Mi-kyung Kim, Edaily Reporter] “Last year, Korea’s senior population surpassed 10 million. This year marks the true beginning of the super-aged society. It’s a future that has come upon us unprepared, inevitably increasing the social burden.”So says Hye-young Won, five-term National Assembly member and Co-Chairperson of Well-Dying Culture Movement. In a recent interview with Edaily, he emphasized, “In the era of super-aging, ending one’s life with dignity has become a societal imperative,” repeatedly underscoring the importance of establishing the right to self-determination in death.Well-dying, literally “dying well,” refers to ending life with dignity and respect. Won argues that society must see death as a natural extension of life, not as a taboo. This means individuals should proactively and independently make decisions about life-sustaining treatment, organ donation, funeral arrangements, and inheritance.“With the rapid pace of aging and advances in medicine, we are moving further away from natural death,” he said. “Rather than seeing death as something to fight, we should accept it as the natural completion of life and prepare for it in advance. That’s what it means to die well.” He noted that, unlike a generation ago when few had assets to leave behind, today’s seniors are the first to possess significant wealth, leading to a rise in inheritance disputes. “Choosing for oneself how to die is both the most altruistic choice for family and society and a way to reduce social confusion and national costs,” he said. This is why well-dying deserves attention not only at the personal level, but also for society and the nation.Won’s interest in well-dying began during his time in the National Assembly, when he led the passage of the Advance Directive Act. Deeply moved by the issue of patients having to endure futile life-sustaining treatment, he championed legislation guaranteeing the right to self-determination in end-of-life care. Since the law’s enactment in 2016, more than 2.7 million people have signed advance directives, contributing to the respect for human dignity and autonomy.◇Proposing a “Well-Dying Basic Act” for Self-Determined DeathStill, Won says there is a long way to go. He believes national policy must analyze and respond to the challenges of super-aging and low birthrates. “We have entered the era of 10 million seniors, but there is no comprehensive government strategy for the newly changed social structure. Awareness of well-dying is also lacking,” he said. He urged the new administration, elected just three days prior, to “enact a Well-Dying Basic Act to lay the foundation for a comprehensive government policy on well-dying.”Immediate steps, he said, include education for citizens?including seniors?and well-dying administrative services at the local government level. “Designing and implementing education for seniors is extremely important, but it’s almost neglected now. It must be actively and systematically expanded and deepened,” he said, adding that spreading the well-dying movement can reduce social costs, including the national budget. Writing advance directives or wills in advance can reduce unnecessary life-sustaining treatment, inheritance disputes, and even encourage charitable giving. In fact, if just one-third of the roughly 300,000 annual deaths avoided futile life-sustaining treatment, social costs could be reduced by 2 trillion won. He also recommends organizing one’s life with a “life note” (bucket list) or choosing personalized memorials such as living funerals or farewell parties.Won explained, “As I contemplated retirement with the conviction that I should step aside gracefully for generational change in politics, I realized how essential the well-dying movement is for our society. Well-dying is a midterm review?an opportunity to reflect on one’s life and decide how to live the rest. Support for 3-generation households should also be considered to ease the burden of caring for both children and elderly parents.”Regarding youth settlement and regional revitalization, Acs further advised, “Successful regions have ‘anchor industries’ or employers that provide a basic employment base and demand. He warned against simply copying policies from high-birthrate regions, arguing for targeted, evidence-based approaches to attract young people.“Population policies rarely succeed, globally and historically,. A common problem is that governments don’t stick with them long enough,” Martin said. “Population policy takes time to show results, so frequent changes undermine public trust in the future.”Martin also emphasized the need for scientific, data-driven approaches to encourage young people to move to the regions. “Just replicating policies from high-birthrate areas is unlikely to work. Young adults move for family, career, and personal reasons, so regional population policies must reflect these motivations both methodologically and conceptually,” he explained. The market size is now estimated to exceed 400 trillion KRW. “Most of the first baby boomer generation (born 1955~1963) are now receiving pensions, and many in the second wave (born 1964~1974) are approaching retirement,” Kim explained. “As more people around us start receiving pensions, interest in retirement planning is naturally increasing.”He added, “Younger generations are also increasingly using retirement pensions as investment assets. Thanks to advances in IT, people can now manage their pensions directly from their smartphones, transforming pensions from ‘invisible assets’ to ‘visible assets,’ which has also influenced their growing interest.”Recently, there has been growing interest in individual retirement pensions(IRPs) and pension savings accounts. Subscribers can save up to 18 million KRW annually across both IRPs and pension savings, with up to 9 million KRW eligible for tax deductions. This will also allow the government to focus more support on low-income groups,” he stated.The government is working to encourage retirees to receive their pensions as annuities by tightening early withdrawal requirements. [이데일리 강민구 기자] 국내 연구진이 도로나 보행로에서 전동킥보드, 전기자전거로 발생할 수 있는 사고를 예방할 수 있는 기술을 개발하고, 업체에 기술을 이전했다.공유형 PM 개별 검지 결과 화면.(자료=한국건설기술연구원)한국건설기술연구원은 인공지능(AI) 기술로 ‘공유형 개인 이동장치(Personal Mobility)’의 불법 주정차를 자동 검지하고, 이동 조치 우선순위까지 제시하는 기술을 개발했다고 28일 밝혔다.전동킥보드, 전기자전거 등으로 대표되는 공유형 PM은 도심 내 이동 편의성을 높이고, 전기 동력을 이용한 친환경적인 교통수단으로 주목받고 있다. 하지만 불법 주정차 문제로 보행자의 안전을 위협하고 교통약자의 이동에 불편을 초래했다.서울시 등 일부 지자체에서는 도로교통법에 근거한 ‘개인형 이동장치 이용 안전 증진 조례’를 제정하고, 무단 방치된 공유형 PM에 대해 이동, 보관, 매각 등의 행정조치를 시행하고 있다. 이는 시민 신고나 현장 단속과 같은 인력 중심 방식에 의존해 실효성 확보에 한계가 있다. 운영업체의 자율적 관리도 도입되고 있지만 효과는 제한적이다.건설연 연구팀은 AI로 기존 공공 CCTV 영상을 분석해 문제를 해결했다. 공유형 PM의 불법 주정차를 자동 검지해 넘어짐 여부와 주정차 지속 시간을 분석하고, 위험도를 판단하는 방식을 적용했다. 각 기기 형태와 색상을 기반으로 운영업체를 특정하고, 불법 주정차된 공유형 PM의 위험도에 따라 이동 조치의 우선순위까지 확인했다.시스템은 기존 공공 CCTV를 활용해 추가 인프라 설치 비용을 줄이고, 인력 증대 없이도 공유형 PM의 불법 주정차 단속 효율을 높일 수 있다. 불법 주정차의 단순 검지를 넘어 운영사 식별과 위험도 판단도 가능해 긴급 대응이 필요한 상황에 빠르게 조치할 수 있다.연구진은 개발한 기술을 핀텔에 이전했다. 박선규 원장은 “국민의 보행 안전을 확보하고, 도시 내 공유형 PM의 관리 효율성을 극대화하는 데 기여하겠다”며 “앞으로도 안전한 교통 환경 조성을 위한 연구개발에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.

가톨릭중앙의료원, 차세대 의료정보 시스템 개발
[이데일리 이순용 기자] 가톨릭대학교 가톨릭중앙의료원 기초의학사업추진단 인공지능뇌과학사업단의 고태훈 교수(가톨릭대학교 의과대학 의료정보학교실)와 공동 연구팀이 개인의 건강 정보(PHR, Personal Health Record)를 더욱 안전하고 효율적으로 관리할 수 있는 새로운 시스템을 개발했다.이번 연구는 기존 방식보다 개인정보를 더 철저히 보호하면서도 병원 간의 정보 공유는 빠르게 이루어질 수 있도록 설계된 ‘탈중앙화’ 기반의 건강정보 시스템을 제안했다는 점에서 의료정보 기술의 실질적인 기술적 대안을 제시한 성과로 평가받고 있다. 현재 우리가 병원에서 진료를 받으면, 그 기록은 각 병원의 전산시스템에 저장된다. 이처럼 건강 정보는 주로 병원이나 기관에서 관리하고 있어, 병원이 다르면 기록을 옮기기도 어렵고, 해킹 등의 보안 위협에도 상대적으로 취약하다.체 주권형 개인 건강기록 관리 시스템 업무 흐름 모식도.특히 여러 병원을 이용하는 환자의 경우, 진료기록이 분산되어 있어 정확한 의료정보를 제때 공유하지 못하면 진료의 질이 떨어질 수 있다. 또한, 중앙 전산시스템이 해킹될 경우, 환자의 민감한 개인정보가 한꺼번에 유출될 위험도 있다.고태훈 교수 연구팀은 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해, 건강 정보를 병원이 아니라 개인이 직접 저장하고, 필요할 때만 안전하게 제공할 수 있는 새로운 시스템을 설계했다. 연구팀은 이 시스템을 ‘자기 주권형(Self-Sovereign) 건강 정보 시스템’이라고 부른다. 자기 주권형이란 말 그대로 자신의 정보를 자신이 직접 통제할 수 있는 구조를 뜻한다.연구팀은 이 시스템을 만들기 위해 두 가지 핵심 기술을 활용했다. 하나는 개인 데이터 저장소(PDS, Personal Data Store)이고, 다른 하나는 탈중앙 신원 인증 기술(DID, Decentralized Identifier)이다. PDS는 각 개인이 자신의 건강 정보를 스마트폰이나 클라우드 저장소 등에 직접 보관할 수 있도록 한다. 병원이 아닌 개인 중심의 저장 방식으로 바뀌는 것이다. 그리고 DID 기술은 정보를 주고받을 때 신원 인증을 탈중앙화 방식으로 안전하게 처리하는 기술이다. 기존의 병원이 인증기관을 거쳐야만 정보를 확인할 수 있었다면, DID를 사용하면 개인 인증서 하나로 본인임을 증명하고, 병원 간에도 안전하게 정보를 공유할 수 있게 된다.이 시스템은 단순히 이론적인 설계에 그치지 않고, 실제로 작동할 수 있도록 구현되었다. 사용자는 DID 기반 디지털 인증서를 통해 본인의 건강정보 접근 권한을 관리할 수 있으며, 동적으로 바뀌는 접근 키(Access Key)를 활용해 타인이 정보를 보려면 본인의 승인 없이는 접근할 수 없게 되어 있다.또한, 정보 제공 시에는 자동으로 개인정보를 식별할 수 없게 처리하는 ‘비식별화 기술’도 함께 적용되어, 꼭 필요한 정보만 보호된 형태로 제공된다. 이러한 기술을 통해, 사용자는 자신의 건강 정보를 능동적으로 관리할 수 있고, 병원 간 협진이나 전원의 경우에도 신속하고 정확한 정보 공유가 가능해진다. 특히 만성질환자, 고령자, 다빈도 병원 이용자 등에게 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.이번 연구를 주도한 고태훈 교수는 “디지털 헬스케어 시대를 맞이하면서, 환자가 단순한 의료의 수혜자가 아니라 의료정보의 주체가 되어야 한다는 인식이 점차 확산되고 있다”라며, “이번 연구는 이러한 변화의 흐름에 맞춰, 의료정보를 안전하고 스마트하게 관리할 수 있는 실질적인 기술적 대안을 제시했다는 점에서 의미가 있다”라고 밝혔다. 가톨릭대학교 가톨릭중앙의료원 기초의학사업추진단의 지원으로 진행된 이번 연구는 생명정보학 분야 SCIE 저널 Computational and Structural Biotechnology Journal (IF: 6.0) 1월호(Vol. 28)에 게재되었고, 단순한 기술 개발을 넘어, 미래형 의료 데이터 생태계의 방향성을 제시한다는 점에서 주목된다. 의료기관 중심의 관리에서 환자 중심의 관리로 변화하는 흐름 속에서, 고태훈 교수팀의 연구는 기술적 가능성과 실용성을 동시에 입증했다.앞으로 이 시스템이 실제 진료 현장에 적용된다면, 환자는 자신의 건강 정보를 보다 투명하고 안전하게 활용할 수 있으며, 의료기관 간의 정보 연계도 한층 원활해질 것으로 기대된다.
